Clay County School District Increases ROI on AgendaPlus
Clay County School District — 35,000 students, 5,000 employees and 42 schools — replaced an older, failing agenda system with AgendaPlus in 2016. Agile Tech customized the platform, migrated legacy agendas to HTML5, and trained staff, reaching breakeven in 2 years 8 months and roughly $9,000 a year in ongoing ROI.

The challenge
Clay County School District, headquartered in Green Cove Springs, Florida, has approximately 35,000 students, 5,000 employees and 42 schools, and its educational planning and collaboration begin with an agenda & meeting-management solution. The district had been using an older, failing system that caused continuous IT problems, so in May 2016 it implemented AgendaPlus by Agile Tech Consulting for its School Board.
The process
Agile Tech customized AgendaPlus to fulfil the district’s technical requirements and the School Board’s agenda needs, supporting CCSD from the start of development through training and a successful deployment. “During the transfer to the newer system the support we received was second to none. We were able to pull all of our old agendas into a newer HTML5 format that allowed us future scalability,” explains Jeremy Bunkley, IT Service Department Supervisor. Agile Tech provided a clean database switchover and excellent end-user training and support.
The result
The main reasons CCSD chose AgendaPlus were the value and ROI received: the breakeven point was two years and eight months, after which the district began seeing about $9,000 a year in return on investment. Board Assistant Karen Bush, who prepares and manages all of the district’s agendas, reports complete customer satisfaction — the streamlined process now takes half the time to prepare and publish agendas and minutes.
I am happy to say their product comes with complete customer satisfaction. We were able to streamline our process, and it now takes half the time to prepare and publish our agendas and minutes.
